The academy also offers classes and instruction in western Boxing classification , for those looking to start a boxing career or just to use the boxing workouts to learn basic self defense and stay in fantastic shape . Our instructors are USA boxing certified - level 1 Olympic coaches.

Our kickboxing courses are designed for people that wish to learn how to use their legs and feet as well and their hands for self-defense, to either start a career in kickboxing or just to stay in tremendous shape. The different types of kickboxing courses offered are American and International rules of the sport, as well as the full contact Lei Tai Chinese Kickboxing.

  • American Style Kickboxing, all punches and kicks are above the waist only to score , and an emphasis is placed on very evasive footwork and explosive punch and kicking techniques . This style of competition is fought in a standard boxing ring.

  • International rules kickboxing consists of the American techniques, but also leg kicking in allowed above and below the knee joint. Emphasis is placed on fast footwork, explosive setup combinations and extremely powerful low line kicks. This style is also fought in a standard boxing ring setting.

  • Lei Tai Chinese Kickboxing consists of all of the above, as well as the close range elbow and knee striking as used in Muay Thai style. Also Included in this style is the grappling, sweeping and throwing techniques of Chinese Shuai Jaio. This style is traditionally fought on a platform raised 2 1/2 feet from the ground, 24ft x 24ft square feet. Points are scored by strikes, kicks, elbows, knees, knockouts, controlling throws, or knocking opponent off the platform. More information can be obtained by looking through our web links.
